Southbrook has been part of the Richmond Hill community for over half a century.
In 1983, Bill and Marilyn Redelmeier started with a picnic table offering roadside fresh produce sales on the south side of Major Mackenzie Dr. W. This labour of love developed into a thriving market store, winery and pumpkin patch.
In September 2007 we moved to the north side of Major Mackenzie Dr. W. between Dufferin & Bathurst St. and this is now the home to the popular fall Southbrook Pumpkin Patch operation and farm market. Look for the Big Red Barn and pumpkins in the fields, and yes, we do grow our own pumpkins! Join us on any October weekend for a hayride out to the patch, where you can select your perfect pumpkin, right off the vine!
Cathy Chiappetta, Director of Operations has been a long time employee working with the Redelmeier Family since 1993. Her husband John and their 3 children Jennifer, Andrew and Daniel all contribute their utmost creative and physical efforts in order to enrich your “Southbrook Experience” and ensure that you bring home fond memories that will last a lifetime!

We have several stages of our operation. All of our friendly and hard working staff play an important role in preparing to receive the thousands
of annual visitors that come and enjoy the farm. Our main season is in September and October, when the pumpkin patch and market store is open daily. In our Bakery and The Patch Café you will find our award winning fresh baked pies & treats, homemade fudge, specialty coffees and more. We carry Ontario fresh seasonal vegetables, and Harvest home décor.
Visit our Halloween section for all your haunt needs.
In October, things really get fun, and every weekend becomes a Family Fun Festival, with wagon rides, children’s carnival, B.B.Q. roasted corn and more. Lots of your favorite foods, from hamburgers to sliced apples drizzled with caramel, so you'll want to plan a day of fun for your family!
In the off-season, you'll find us at the Brook Farm House, south of Major Mackenzie Dr. at 271 Valley Vista Drive. (Map) Our customers may still purchase our fresh baked pies, plus a terrific assortment of natural honey, jams, preserves, and custom made gift baskets.
